Default buying a house

how long does it take to build up your credit rating to obtain home loans or finance when new to the country or dont the banks work on a credit scoring system like they do in the uk.also is it best to buy a new car or a second hand one you read the books and they say new car prices are very high and second hand ones can be very expensive to repair and also very dodgey.

In Australia, they dont have a "credit score/rating" system, you can learn more about that on https://services.au.baycorpadvantage...f_indexDynamic

Cant help with advice on homeloans tho....but will be interested in the responses you get for when I get over there...

Good luck
