Buying electrical items in Airports?

we may be in the market for a new camcorder as ours has just packed in. Is it worth having a look when in Singapore Airport? Would it be much cheaper?

If you want, but if anything goes wrong with it, you run the risk of the warranty not being valid in Australia or UK.

And it wont have an Aussie plug on it either for whatever bit needs recharging.

We brought our camcorder and a camera in Singapore, worldwide warantee.

However we did not buy it at the Airport but there is a place where you can get good electrical good cheap, I just cannot remember the name (it will come to me later). It has about 3 floor of just electrical stuff. We got a really good deal on both.

You might like to do a search as I think the topic has come up before and the name of the place might be on it.
