Does anyone have a feel for where it is cheaper to buy second hand cars - sydney or brissie?

There was an old thread regarding this and how QLD carlots would come down to NSW for auctions. I used to work for a car pricing company and Timbers suggested method is the most accurate way of judging regional variations in prices.

I agree mate, my Cousin lives in Brissy, has a CUDA pumps out sum serious KILOWATTS, he just flew to Melbourne for some parts and brought a car back !!

Same as uk, look hard and long enough you will get a deal , whereever

Depends where you are going to live as all states have their own vehicle registrations, so if you buy a car in NSW but live in QLD you will have to re register it (don't know the cost) in QLD. Also stamp duty is much higher in NSW than QLD and you have to pay stamp duty on car purchases in the state you make the purchase.
