Buying a Campervan
Hello
new poster here and now the proud owner of a shiny new PR visa (after the usual 12 month wait)
Was wondering if anyone can give me any advice on the costs involved in running a campervan in Oz? We'll be looking to buy a second hand one and I've seen them range from about $40k - 90K. What about insurance though, is it expensive? Also, are there any other costs to running a camper (other than the obvious ones of gas, oil etc) such as special licences, tax?
Thanks

Early next year I should think, not sure where. Gonna get the van , toss a coin , go left if its heads and right if its tails. See some of the country and then get a job when the 'travel' dosh runs out.

For the money you'd outlay for the number of nights you'd use it, you could stay at B&Bs for bloody ages.
If you want to camp buy / make a good swag. Cost to make: ~$100 for a good one.
Here's some suped up ones:
Just a small light tarp and matress will do.
