Currently going through the migration process heading for Perth ..

Talking to a friend currently in Perth today about the booming housing market and looking ahead to what it might be when I get and there which got me wondering ...

Does anyone know if its possible to get a buy to let mortgage there, buy a property - a 4x2 or whatever ahead of the game (I guess it needs to be new) for when the visa is secured and in the meantime rent it out? I guess this would need a decent deposity and rental income ..

I used to mock some people here in the UK that entered into buy to Lets and now whos' laughing (well I am in Aberdeen) and thats remained a booming market for some time..

Any experiences/ideas welcome
