Business 457 Visa
 

Has anyone recently applied for, or recently been granted a temporary long stay visa (457)?

I have applied on this basis, and am still waiting to hear the outcome.

I would like to hear from anyone who this applies to, to find out such things as actual time for application processing, any pitfalls along the way etc.

Have you searched on http://www.austimeline.com/index.jsp ? I applied for, and received, a 457 Visa, being sponsored by a PQBS company. The application took a little while to prepare (sponsorship, medicals, x-rays etc), but I received visa approval only 2 weeks after applying...

I registered on the timeline site a week or so ago, and i think i am the only person registered on there who has applied using any of the business type categories. I know that they weren't available initially when i looked, so sent an e-mail, and got a very prompt reply stating that the business categories would be added.
Hopefully, people may start to add their details now they know the business types are available.
