Default IT Business?

Hi

We are looking into emigrating to Brisbane or the sunshine coast. Anyone know if I could setup an IT related business (supplying PC's & Laptops, installing networks, mending broken PC's etc). Currently I run a business in the UK that does this and I would love to do this in Australia.
Anyone in these areas have any ideas on whether this type of business could be succesful?

Kevin

Be honest and you will suceed as the guys here couldn''t find their with both hands. Most are con artists and find problems that are not there. I've tried em and found em out.

Good luck

starting a new business is always going to be tough wherever you are. so maybe you could do with finding out how much competition there is.

This seems like a good idea - as you're not there yet you could do a search on www.yellowpages.com.au to get a general feel for the area.

Question to Alpha

As you are there, how much competition do you reckon I would have?, also what do the companies over there charge (hourly)?

I really don't want to work for anyone anymore, I love being self employed over here (UK), combine this with OZ good weather, walk to the beach Etc and I reckon my life will be complete

BTW Hoping to settle either in Moololaba/Caloundra or Brisbane suburbs
