Default Burger King or Hungry Jack's

Bored at work with Aussie mate. He reckons some states call it Hungry Jack's and others call it Burger King. This may turn into a fight, so can someone clear this up for us.

Ta,

Paul.

In WA its called Hungry Jacks can't remember seeing any in Tas but sure there were some? (not been to other states so can't comment)

Also Michael Douglas (Falling Down) would have been happy cos the burgers are exactly like they look on the picture! Twice as big as the UK's and half the price

Yum

Same company. It's Burger King here in the US; they're prohibited by some weird copyright from calling themselves that in most parts of Australia.

They've always made better burgers than McSpew IMHO, but always been in their shadow too.

But he reckons some states in Oz actually do call it Burger King. This is starting to get a bit ugly.

Some states call it Burger King, it is something to do with a small burger chain in Australia that was called Burger King so they fought the US burger king and they are not allowed to call it burger king in some states

It's Hungry Jack's in Queensland too.

For information straight from the horse's mouth (so to speak!), see their website - Hungry Jack's History
