Default Bullying in schools

Hi all,
Is there any bullying in schools - have your kids experienced it? If so, what did you do?

Do the school authorities take immediate action, if reported?

I am worried about this issue.

Some schools do take immediate action, (eg Expelling), others may not.

We haven't come across anything noticeable with our daughter, but the schools she has been to have a zero tolerance on it.

There is bullying in every school in every country. It depends on the school as to how they tackle it.

From what I've heard, no more than anywhere else. Although in country areas it is hard if you're 'different' in any way.
Btw - you got your first star!!

No Pako. Not in my daughter's school in Bangalore. Zero bullying. And I do hope there are schools with zero tolerance to bullying in Melbourne too.

The kids are extremely polite, probably because they're so scared of their teachers and the principal!! - and I not talking of kindergarten students, even grade 9-10 students.

Duh...must go and read the user manual to this forum.

Now we have two very Indian words often used on this forum - Karma and Avataar, both with origins in Sanskrit.

Karma: Means your actions determine your destiny - how true!

Avataar :Sanskrit avatāraḥ, descent (of a deity from heaven), avatar : ava, down + tarati, he crosses.
The incarnation of a Hindu deity, Vishnu (in his 10 incarnations or avataars), in human or animal form.
