Default Bulimba State School

After two years of planning we've finally made it to Brisbane! The only things left to do are to find a house, car, school etc...

We like the Bulimba/Balmoral/Hawthorne areas and were wondering if anyone knew anything about Bulimba State School or any of the other local state schools?

By the way, for anyone arriving in Brisbane shortly we've found a great apartment hotel complex - Bridgewater Terraces - which is right on the river at Kangaroo Point almost under the Storey Bridge. It's not that expensive and is great for kids with a lagoon pool and tropical garden. It's also very close to the City Ferry stop at Holman St so you can get into the CBD in 5 mins and the South Bank in 10. We've found it to be a great base to set things up from in Brisbane. (just thought we'd repay some of the advice that we've used from this site over the last 2 years.)

Cheers
