We are looking at a house in the Bayside area of Brisbane but would like to build an extension on it for entertaining space (no plumbing required).

Does anyone know any good extension builders/renovators (to shift around current house layout) in the area? What are waiting times like for builders?

Approx what cost per sqm are we looking at (roughly)?

Also, does anyone know of any companies that do kit/prefab built extensions that might reduce our costs (we are basically looking at a very ordinary 2 storey block)?

I'm in a similar position (looking for tradies to do some work). I was advised to have a look at the ads in the local freee paper, and then work from the back/end listings. Putting in a new bathroom ranged from 5-12 weeks until they could start work. Have to say that it would be good to ask around for reccomended tradies, or at least ask if they can supply references to previous work..
