im living in great barr at the mo. by the big asda. lol. heading to mournington but have friends in north croydon and geelong. anyone tell me how long it takes to get to geelong from mournington and can you catch a fery at the peninsula ???

Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, you can get a ferry from Queenscliff( about 25 mins from Geelong) across to Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula.Apparently you can sometimes see Dolphins on the crossing!
We are enjoying Geelong.Has all you need and close enough to get to Melbourne if you want.There is a good train service to Melbourne and not at all expensive.The shopping centre is making progress, no sign of the contraversial walk over the street( will block the sea view)!
We're close to beaches- great ones in Torquay which is about 20mins away.
Kids settled into their school and lots of activities for them to do.
