Wishful thinking probably.
sorry lots of copy uk and usa shows - some better some worse. the format for deal or no deal is (I think) better than the uk one but who wants toe be a $10000000000000000 not as good and all the other yuk shows are a waste of space so the tv stays off but when thje evenings are so warm and staying outside is a treat booze and bbq and friends who wants tv

I was wondering if any of the U.K. terrestrial channels, or indeed any British satellite/cable channels are easily available in Oz, i.e. through cable or satellite?
No, Aussie tv's don't show UK shows - best to take your UK set - that way you'll still be able to enjoy them!

I wish I still had it now! My mate has the Lotus Cortina Mk2 which he puts in shows etc,it's in A1 condition and worth about £13k he tells Me!!!! I think the mark1 Lotus Cortina are worth upwards of £15k for a good one now! I think you can still buy a tidy mk2/3 for less than £2k.Mine was gold with full vinyl roof ..lovely.I miss that car!
Well, you're in luck.

Tasmania is where these classic cars all go to "stud."

Whilst in Hobart back in 2003 I saw numerous old Fords, even a few Mark 1 (one) Escorts on the road.

The X-Factor only lasted one series here and the winners - Random - have sunk without trace. We do get the US Survivor, Australian Idol, Big Brother, Amazing Race, The Apprentice, Supernanny, Wife Swap and quite a few other reality ('brain dead') progs here though. I actually quite like some brain dead telly like The Apprentice, living in Oz has converted me.

I'm booking a crate now! Get over and ship 'em back, got to be money in that!
People made serious money out of doing the same sort of thing with Lambretta/vespa,take a transit type van over and buy them up.The climate in Italy means you could but classic '60's scooters with no or little rust in original condition for no money, bring then back and there was/is huge demand for original scooters.Take a look on ebay at the price you have to pay for a good sx200,around £4k for a good one now, when I left school (1984) you could pick 'em up for less than £100!!

Classic Veteran and Vintage cars are a big source of entertainment here in oz there are car clubs in almost every few towns and they do use their cars regularly, there is not a mileage or quantity limit on their historic registration plates but each outting has to have the 'blessing' of the club. We use our car/s a couple of times a month on day trek/picnic/visit and also attend the shows for college fetes, australia day, queens birthday show and etc etc. Eighty odd cars going to Goulburn at Easter for a rally.
