I know this question isn't specifically related to Australia and NZ but I figure I'd get a few more replies in this section.

Does anyone know where as a British Citizen I am allowed to work and live in, without applying for a residency visa. Obviously this would include all countries in the EU but I'm thinking along the lines of ex-colonial and commonwealth countries eg. Dominican Republic. I'm aware most countries require a work permit, including the EU, but would like to know which countries are available without a lengthly application process and without the need to apply for PR.

I've searched on the net but am unable to find a definitive list.
