Have you tried" the weekly Telegraph" you could order it online.
Borders might stock it?
Or for that matter read the The Times or The Telegraph daily online. I thought it wonderful when I realised I could even access my local newspaper and read who had got married or died!!!!

Theres a Weekly Telegraph, Express and I think the other one is the Independent - used to be a Mail but that one has vanished. You can take out a postal subscription with all of them if you can't get them easily.
Or subscribe to The Times online

Hubby is addicted to the TV here and I know is not looking forward to giving up his Sky. We were thinking about bringing the dish and decoder with us (I know we won't pick up Sky) but can it be reprogrammed for any other satellite TV or is there cable out there in Perth. What Fox like???

I keep telling him what with all the outdoor pursuits out there he really will not have time to miss the TV but the poor soul is already going through the grieving process.

Unless you're living in the outback somewhere ,The express is in most newsagents here (it's published on a weekly basis), there's also the telegraph (or is it the mail?) - it's next to all the other newspapers, there's also an Irish paper, and I'm sure I've seen a Scottish paper too. I don't usually buy them myself as the stories are always a bit out of date.
For British news, I rely on the online papers.

For British news on the box, if you hook up to foxtel/optus they have a news channel called sky news (besides the straight laced BBC channel) - this channel shows both Sky Aus, and sky UK - sky UK is usually very early morning and late evening (unless they have changed it - I've been without my sat for a few months now.. ahem)

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

http://www.express.co.uk/

http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/ (Western mail, Wales)

http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/ (Evening Post, Wales).

To the above person - I don't think it's any cheaper to install foxtel if you use your own dish and decoder - foxtel here has recently gone all digitical (Lol excuse my spelling, I spelt that the way I speak lol ... I've left my brain in my ar*e today... digital) , and there have been major software upgrades, stamping out pirates.
If you're using a gold card - forget it - they're useless now, they've clamped down on those naughty pirates
I own my own dish and decoder - and have looked at the prices - it seems it is no cheaper to hook up with them using their dish and decoder, than bringing yours along with you.

What is foxtel like here - well I can't compare it to Brit foxtel/sky as I've never seen the Brit version - but half of it is cr*p - repeats after repeats, which is still better than channel 7, 9 and 10.. anything is better than those.

Out of all the channels we had, the most watched channels for me were the news channels, History, geographic, Discovery, fox sports ( a must for the bike racing, and rugby - the recent rugby cup here, the free to air did not show all pool matches, but fox sports did) ... and dare I say it ... Uk TV lol

Prices for getting hooked up to sat is just a bit dearer than cable , I think it works out to be just over a $1000 a year. Current prices should be on their web site. You'll need to ask foxtel/optus if there's cable in your area/street - I'm in Brisbane and our street has no cable hook up (but last area here in Brisbane I was in , I did have cable) - so it's sat for me now.

cheers

You only have to look at the typing & it stands out like dogs bollocks that they are the same person spamming that website.
