Isn't a faggot a low percentage meat (of dubious quality) patty. It's just one of those things which my parents didn't like, so we've never eaten them....

Ugh Brings to mind stuff like tapioca at school dinners! And my MIL sent me a recipe last week cos her beloved son has been moaning that I don't know how to make blancmange (its digusting stuff, why would I want to make it) - this recipe is a complete, make it from scratch thing- no packet mix....and I am supposed to flavour it with a PEACH LEAF! Bet I'd get funny looks if I went into Coles and asked for a peach leaf....... :scared:

Tapioca was what we called "frog spawn" - disgusting. Oh you poor thing having to to make blancmange. I didn't think anyone liked that stuff - the thought used to make me shudder. My husband told me it was called "drilpudding" in Holland - also a good name for it!

Don't know about rissoles but faggots are lovely. Just spicy soft meatballs with a rich gravy.

Wouldn't want to be called the faggot family though LOL.

Blamange (?) is foul, tapioca is worse than evil, although hubby apparently used to love it (hasn't had it since he met me!!!!) but he used to like left over pie at school. Usually had the whole tray because no one else could stand it.
