Brisbane - Things To Do?

Can you share your ideas as to what newly arrived immigrants as well as family and friends should do/see or visit whilst in and around Brisbane?

hire some bikes, the city is brill for cyclists with lots of cycle tracks. try not to go in 35 degrees of heat, nearly killed us!
