Which Brisbane Suburb?
Hiya,
Im in the middle of getting a permanent visa for Oz and thinking of moving to Brisbane. Just wondering of anyone has any advice on which suburbs to avoid? Im hoping to find work in one of the children's hospitals so need to be living nearby ideally .

Re: Which Brisbane Suburb?
As from the end of this year there will only be one centralised children's hospital in Brisbane, it's at the site of the Mater Hospital in South Brisbane. Most of the inner Southern suburbs surrounding the Mater are good, some parts of Annerley can be a little dodgy. You have Woolllongabba, West End, South Brisbane, East Brisbane, Annerley, Tarragindi, Greenslopes, Camp Hill, Coorparoo, Seven Hills, Morningside, Bulimba, Hawthorn (Bulimba and Hawthorn are lovely, but in peak hour traffic can be a nightmare getting to Mater because there's only one road out and one road in).
Check out realestate.com.au and have a look at the price and style of rentals in these areas, they may not suit your needs.
Good luck.
