Default Which Brisbane Suburb

Hello - we are here for 2 weeks (from UK) on a reccy and looking for a nice area which fits as many of the following as possible:

30 mins (ish) from Brisbane

30 mins from Coast/Beach

Shopping centre + schools close by.

Family friendly (young kids)

New houses/estate would be ideal.

Thanks

North Lakes or Shailer Park would tick most of those boxes, however 30 mins is a real push during peak hour traffic

Currently living in Shailer Park i would agree but yes with peak hour traffic the way it is that part of the criteria will be harder to meet.

Re the 30 mins from Brisbane - are you talking about driving to Brisbane in peak hour or something else? Note if work does not provide parking it is very expensive in the CBD.

How big a shopping centre do you mean? Does it have to be a huge mall and what would you consider close?

This question should be moved to the main Australia forum btw to get the most answers. Maybe one of our kind mods could do it

Shailer Park surrounds including Cornubia and (old) Tanah Merah also fit those parameters (except the rush hour traffic bit). Some great schools here too
