The big one by the river. If we get the usual table (and it isn't raining) we'll be in the outdoor area by the main entrance
I've been frequently the new Pig, in Brunswick Street, lately. Nice place for a quiet pint though probably not central enough for a proper meet up pub.

Just seen this and just wondering what the attendance is usually like? Is it nans and grandads meeting for a sherry, moms and dads meeting for a coffee or is there a diverse range of ages?

Two somewhat more "mature" ladies were sitting at a table not far away, they were just visiting Brisbane from Perth, but could hear the British accents and kept looking our way. They ended up being carried over to our table to join in whether they liked it or not! But as it turns out they seemed to have a great time!

We came along to the last meet on New Year's Day, it was the first time meeting these good folks. We had a great time, much laughter, much to drink but if you're a shy, sensitive soul with no sense of humour you might be better not going!

Its always a good session, mixed ages and lots of drinking and gossip and making of new friends The idea of us all just sipping a few sweet sherries is
Dan - do come along and join us, I 'm sure you won't regret it!
