Hi There

We've been in Brisbane (Clayfield) 6 months after spending most of the last 10years in the UAE. We have found it surprisingly difficult to make friends with the locals despite having three kids (5 1/2, 3 1/2 and 18 mnths) two of which attend prep/kindy (maybe the kids are the problem!?) and have yet to meet many other expats.

We miss talking to people who understand the problems of living away from home and who are on the same wave length / enjoy the same things as us (having a few beers and the craic).

Any one out there in the same boat and like to meet up (with or without kids)?

Not in North but South, Bayside to be exact. There's a meet at Wellington Point on Sunday 22nd July at 2pm....Playpark type picnic thing. If you fancy it.

Meeting at the Playpark at the Point...Very end of Main Street, as far as you can go without going into the water! The playpark is on the left hand side beside the beach area. PM me if you need directions / phone number.
