Brisbane - Holiday Clubs etc...
Any advice would be welcome.
We have two boys (11 & 8) and will be moving out to the Brisbane area (hopefully bayside) in a few weeks/months and we both intend on working.
Does anyone know what is available in the area childcare/holiday club wise, I am worried about how we will manage for the whole of the summer/Christmas holidays.
This isn't an issue in the UK as I work term time in a school, ideally I would like to do the same in Oz (not sure how possible that would be though)
Thanks

But almost every holiday, some of my daughters friends are busy for a week or so with organised holiday clubs. The last holiday was a 1 week stay away camp with loads of organised events for them. I think my daughter wants to go to that one next time.
The local YMCA club also does regular school holiday programmes. http://www.ymca.org.au

Most large schools have a permanent OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) and run through the holidays. They do activities on site and also go on excursions etc. You usually don't have to attend that school to be included in the OSHC program.

Usually in the second half of the school term we get flyers coming home from school advertising school holiday programmes. They vary from just mornings, the odd day, to full time care and seem to be quite affordable. I've not used them but they always look good!
The bayside area is a lovely area to live. If you need any help about anything or want to meet for a coffee and a chat when you arrive, feel free to give me a shout Good luck with the move.
Love
