Default Brisbane / Gold coast -recce trip

Dear All,

My wife and I are planning a two week trip in march next year to Brisbane to try and get a better feel and understanding of the place.

We are assuming that we will be based around the Gold coast area and therefore would really appreciate any advice/tips on cheap but reasonable accomodation for our stay, we would be happy with anything really but probably not a full blown hotel as we would not expect to bethere apart from sleeping.

We also need to try and combine our trip with driving up to Airlie beach so that I can be best man at my mates wedding so would also be grateful for cheap car hire suggestions.

Thanks in advance for all your help, I know it is a long way off but am excited already!!

Best rergards,
Russell.

Hi,
We stayed at Bayview beach apartments at Biggera Waters. 2 bedroomed, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge etc. not posh but clean and adequate. Cost us $866 for 10 nights in august/september this year. I'll try to attach the link www.bayviewbeach.net
