Travelling with 3 teenagers and just wondering what is best route to minimise no. stopovers/downtime in airports. Not overly keen on going via London as sods law, Aer Lingus will be delayed and gameover before we start.
Etihad and Emirates both fly ex Dublin with options of starting early afternoon and c9pm. Emirates seem to have a Connect service where they house/feed you for waits longer than 8 hrs meaning that all flights would be in daylight hrs. Might this be preferable to overnight flight interrupted by 3-5 hr stopover??? Journey times fairly similar. Advice appreciated. Anything to discern between Etihad/Emirates on economy flights?

We flew recently from Glasgow on Emirates. Our choice was couple of hours transfer in Dubai, long stopover in Singapore allowing us a night in the airport hotel and on to Brisbane at 3.00pm next day. Have to say if we don't go business, courtesy of bcworld's knowledge, this would be our chosen route. Emirates were excellent, we got upgraded for one leg of the journey, no transfer via Heathrow and virtually no jetlag. But with 3 teenagers, now that is a different matter.

Are you referring to Dublin, Eire or Dublin, South Australia?
