Different lifestyle i.e can be touristy areas therefore busy traffic and people wise.

More for your money..uum..again...not too sure. House prices have gone up like crazy over here these last two years.I think you'd also pay more if you lived in the coastal regions. Have you tried the Real Estates in those areas? Here's a good one to start with
http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin...ch?a=bhp&t=res

As for the climate; again it's all about personal preferance. I thought Qld would be a lot hotter and a lot more humid but actually it's been bareable. Having said that, I gather this year has been "odd" i.e not as hot and not as humid as previous years. Only you can establish various climatic differences and which area would suit you/your family best.

Anyways...the crux of it is Brisbane isn't everyone's cup o tea...so you've just got to weigh up the pros and cons and do lots of research [as you are doing ] as I'm sure everywhere has it's good and bad parts.Only you will know what will suit you all best.

Good luck
all looks fabby. just one thing, what is job front like? do you have links at all for any job sites? many thanks in anticipation!!

I absolutely love it over there, the water is that aqua green colour, you can swim/snorkle/dive in the wrecks; last time I was there, about 3 weeks ago I saw a shark and a sting ray, as well as several pods of dolphins.

Where are you living now and whats it like there.still got your list of thingds to do when we arrive!!

we are moving somewhere along that bit nr where you lot have mentioned.

is it easy in to brissie CBD from there.

We are looking for good transport links, either bus car or train wit a little bit of sand and a sunset or 2. any thoughts to where. we are gonna rent first, but may buy if there are nice places.

Theres plenty of beautiful coastal towns with great beaches between Sydney and Brisbane you may want to consider, but they would'nt have the employment opportunities of Sydney or Brisbane.

Things have changed though.. the old Straddie Pub has vanished..haven't yet seen it's new incarnation..
Are you sure as I was only their 6 months ago and it was still up and running then. I go across their for a few days every year and it didn't seem to have changed much from my previous visits.

Hi there!! Good to hear from you. I'm still in Bracken Ridge, though moving in three weeks and having a great time out here. I dont post on here as much any more, just pop in from time-to-time to see whats going on
Hope the list is helpful, I'm sure there are heaps of other things to be done too, but they were the most obvious to me at the time!
