Default Brisbane airport to Sunshine Coast, how?

Hi all, just wondered how most do this. Ive already been told you could get a maxi taxi, but i cant find a tel no. for these, and you have to book them!

As we are a family of 4, with all our luggage, we would be able to fit in a standard car, so normal taxi no good, and a normal hire car no good either.

I just really wondered what everyone else has done! I arrive 22/04 so its kind of urgent to book anything we need to now, Cheers for anyone who can reply, Carley

We caught the train, its a few minutes easy walk from airport, and runs every 10 mins or so.

You don't have to book maxi taxis in advance we only waited about 3 minutes for one at the airport. However as the SC is a fair bit further away I don't know if its cheaper to hire a taxi in advance - its still early here for a Sunday morning so you might get more replies later.

There are small buses that go to and from Brisbane Airport to the sunshine coast hourly - every day - we use them when we fly as it's easier than taking our car and less expensive with regard to fuel then parking costs. All your luggage goes in an enclosed trailer.

I'll see if I can dig out the number now. Think they are called SunAir.

Hire a car!!!!! It is cheaper, easier, less hassle, and we do have them in Brisbane even though it is a backwater.

If you have a lot of stuff you can hire people movers like Taragos so there shouldnt be a problem with accommodating you all and all your stuff.

Hiring a car is the quickest, cheapest, most comfortable way of getting a family of 4 to the sunshine coast... go for it !

My sister and her family came out in August and hired a car the whole time they were here. However my BiL and her both said that they would not have felt comfortable getting straight off the plane, into a car for even a short drive, in a strange country, new roads and driving styles, feeling vaguely out-of-it with jetlag. Take the Sunair bus up to the coast, its very easy and fairly cheap, then hire a car once you've found your feer. Safer for you, I think
