Default Bringing parents over

I have been in Sydney for 8 months now. My sister has applied for her visa and is being sponsored by the Queensland government. Our parents are in South Africa. With the majority of our family now in Australia my parents would like to retire here.
Has anyone else done this and can give some advice?
Thanks

How many chidren do your parents have? (in total including possible children form other relationships).

If they pass the balance of family test then a Contributory parent visa may be possble.

You would need to be a resident for 2 years in order to sponsor.

If your sister is to be considered resident for BOF purposes then I think she would also have to have a PR visa and live in Australia.
