Hi. We have paid a deposit for a piece of land there. Will be building a house in Aug'08. Anybody that is staying in Brighton at the moment???

Brighton is to Butler what Somerly is to Clarkson. They are new estates around 30-35 km north of Perth (for anyone who doesn't know)

My friend is considering building there and it's seems a lovely looking place, which I think, has great potential.

I live in Somerly, which is a great place (and as some of you may know, I've only been in my new house since December last year) but I must admit, I would have loved to have bought a plot of land there, if our circumstances had been a little different.

Going by what you said Dave, I'm assuming the block you got must be in 'The Green' release, as house titles are released in August for those lots.

What size is your block, and have you decided who you are going to build with?

Not being nosy, but it's just that these sort of things interest me. As anyone who knows me will agree, after following my house build thread :rofl:

Apologies.... its Brighton in WA. Yes. I have paid a deposit for a plot in The Green. We will be building with Homebuyer, which is linked to the Dale Alcock group. We are very exciting as this will be our first house in Australia.

Yes we are in Brighton or Butler as we call it, we are renting at the moment and have been for the last 12 months, we too are having a house built at the Green, building hasnt begun yet, but hoping to be in this time next year. We went with West Australian Housing Association, for one reason only - they were the cheapest and all we could afford at present, cant wait for things to get moving.................
