bricklaing,jobs in general and the MINES
 

would like to hear from evryone about how the job market is in oz at the moment.. im looking at heading to perth around mid jan(but will go were the work is really, anywhere in oz), im a bricklayer, ill be coming on the 12 month working visa.

I will do any kind of work really if i cant get my trowel out what with the downturn, would really be interested in working in the mines, as 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off(for travelling) apeals to me alot but cant seem to find any information about.

ALL INFORMATION WANTED please.

p.s anyone know best sites for flights and im 25

You'll find Bricklaying work in Perth not easily but things are much better than say back earlier this year.

Mining work on/off won't happen on a WHV. Even during the boom these jobs weren't as easy to get as people thought you usually had to know someone. If you are able to secure another perminent visa then Mining jobs will become possible.

PS Where is this 4 on 4 off job? the best I ever got was 3 on 1 off
