brickie's in townsville
hi,thinking of moving to townsville sometime this year,does anyone know if there is loads of work for bricklayers in townsville Qld,many thanks xxx

i wouldnt be so sure wombat. cairns is currently imploding work wise and t/ville may well follow. the recent cec collapse has seriously screwed alot of things up. its that bad that houses are getting left where they are in the construction stage. on a more positive note they have to offload as much land as they can and quick so any half reasonable offer and you are likely to loose your hands. been here in cairns for 4 years and people have always said its a boom and bust town. i would never have imagined that things could go from so good to so bad in such a short period of time. my boss will have no choice but to let people go if we cant find work soon.

The Army relocation to Townsville is supposed to be worth 15,000 people alone not including the service industry knock on effect.

the cranes were lying on the sites for a while which was costing someone money before they went up.
So you think her hair has something to do with it?

my oh is waiting to hear about a job in townsville from a recrutment company in london,they need 100 blocklayers for a two year contract,they havent been over yet cos they say the weather has been so wet at the mo that they cant start work on the land???? wish they would hurry up and let us know whats going on,as we need to send off for our visa soon??

maybe,hope work picks up out there,we was going to go to perth but was told work was drying up over there,hope we don't come and my oh can't find work
