i wouldnt be so sure wombat. cairns is currently imploding work wise and t/ville may well follow. the recent cec collapse has seriously screwed alot of things up. its that bad that houses are getting left where they are in the construction stage. on a more positive note they have to offload as much land as they can and quick so any half reasonable offer and you are likely to loose your hands. been here in cairns for 4 years and people have always said its a boom and bust town. i would never have imagined that things could go from so good to so bad in such a short period of time. my boss will have no choice but to let people go if we cant find work soon.

The Army relocation to Townsville is supposed to be worth 15,000 people alone not including the service industry knock on effect.

I must admit the lack of progress of the two high rise sites at the north end of Lake Street is a surprise given their usual rip / tear / bust approach.

Could be a lack of trades or maybe they have run out of subbies to squeeze....

the cranes were lying on the sites for a while which was costing someone money before they went up.

So you think her hair has something to do with it?

They may be holding off until the wet season is over, not that it has been that wet in the last few weeks.
