Bribie Island QLD
Hi, would any one like to meet / help a paramedic and family looking to move to Bribie Island QLD ?
We are there from 2nd of August to 8th on a look see. Wife and two (17year old girl and a 11 boy)
I would really appreciate some help and advice (on the temperature of beer) and other less important things like area, schools, rugby clubs etc.
Many thanks,
Karl H

To get to the RSL go over the bridge as if heading towards Bribie from Caboolture, go all the way round the round-a-bout and head back towards the bridge, then turn left just before you get to the bridge, this takes you along the sea front. Keep straight on for about quarter of a mile and the RSL is on the left and the bowling club is opposite on the right. I think its in Bongaree. You can sign in as a visitor for the time you are there, food is very cheap, and so is the beer.
Weve got 3 kids, 2 boys 10 and 12 years, and a girl 11.
speak soon

Hi guys,
I work on Bribie Island with a lot of locals who grew up here and own businesses on the island.
If you want to meet no problems, just drop me a PM.
Thanks
Carl

Re: Bribie Island QLD
Hi all,
Are there enough on the island or surrounding areas who would be interested in a meet (maybe a regular thing?)
We are in Ningi, and would love to get together with some brits for a chat, drinks and a good laugh.
The unit consists of:
Grandparent (very young at heart and much more comfotable having a few drinks and socialising than bowling/pokies!)
And mum and 1 year old.
Let me know if you already know of a meet or are inteseted in forming one.

Hey looks like there is a meet up for newbies looking at the area on 7th August at the RSL.
Other than that theres one on 28th July at woody point (Belvedere Hotel) which is Redcliffe way (semi-local).

I think we will be able to the make the one at Woody Point and definately one at the RSL in the island.
Is there a list started for the RSL meet on the 7th Aug?
Thanks

Re: Bribie Island QLD
If we make it either the 7th or 8th at lunch time(ish) then it would suit me better, I can come and natter during my lunch hour (and a bit).
The kids are better off at lunch time as well, may get a bit crowded in the evening.

The 7th is good for us, wont be able to make the 8th. Lunch time sounds like a good idea for the kiddies.
