Hi Melaniee,

My OH has a cousin on Bribie Island, she moved there from Redcliffe, Qld about 2 months ago.

The place is supposed to be gorgeous !!!

I actually read up on it a while ago and I think the majority of the Island is a nature reserve I believe ?

Sorry I can't be of much help.

Thanks
Donna.

We've just been for a couple of day trips. Basically a sandy island connected to the mainland with a bridge. The east side of the island faces the open ocean and can get windy, the west side more sheltered. Very flat and seemed quiet quiet to me but might grow? I wouldn't like to commute to Brisbane from there as the traffic on the Gateway gets pretty congested.

There's got to be a limit as to how much growth they can manage or are allowed so it's never going to be much more than it is.

I'm sure there was someone on here who used to live there, went back to the UK? I'll have a look. Not getting much else done today

stunning place, reasonable property prices, bit of a push to travel to bris each day, full of old people, an estate agent told me it had a bit of a mosquito problem, some nice beaches has all the supermarkets and shopping you need
