Crikey you can make it yourself you know it is one of the easiest recipes going and the homemade version is much tastier:

2 whole cloves (optional)
1 onion
1 pint /600ml milk
4oz / 100g white breadcrumbs
salt & pepper
knob of butter

Make the breadcrumbs by crumbling fresh bread between your fingers or liquidising it.

stick the cloves into the onion and place in a pan with the milk. Bring to the boil and leave to infuse for 30 mins.
Remove onion from milk, stir in breadcrumbs, seasoning and butter. Reheat to almost boiling point
Hey presto finito!

Happy Xmas

Tina
