Boxes shipped

Well there goes all our possessions. The courier arrived this afternoon and took all 12 boxes and they are now Brisbane bound. I wonder if they arrive there before we do.

I have told the kids that there teddy bears are on their way and are probably enjoying a nice cruise to Australia on a lovely ship!

Just over a month now till we depart our rental and then its suitcase living in my parents house for 3 weeks until we arrive on the 23 June. Not sure how 7 people will survive for 3 weeks in a 2 bedroom bungalow! Maybe it will prepare us for a cramp 24 flight to Oz.

Wish us luck! :scared:

LUCK LUCK LUCK.
We stayed in 2 bed flat with my son, daughter, sons girlfriend, me DAVID and 3 younger ones, for 3 weeks.
IT was great, we had a laugh, they loved me being there to cook and clean.
I will always remember those 3 weeks before we came here. :)

Have you booked your flights yet?

Did they give you any advise on packing manx?

I have thought about using these people as well, for an extra 25 quid, they will pack my pc/scanner/printer for me.

But I didnt know if you are sent guidelines on what and how to pack stuff as in the best way to protect stuff.

Sam

There was some instructions on what you can and cannot pack, and a few tips on how things should be packed, but all in all they leave it up to you to use common sense.

They can ship other small items such as musical instruments, bikes and small peices of furniture that dont fit in standard packing boxes. These items are ususally charged at the cost of a box.

Definately a good service if you are not bringing a container.

did any of you use those vacume bags to save on space? I have read different views on these bags. Some say they are fab and others say they build up moisture.

Good luck Manx family.

We fly out on 12th June. Just waiting for a completion date on the house abd then the packers will be in. We are going to be staying with family for the last few weeks.

All seems to be happening now, which is strange after all the waiting involved in the visa process.

Can't wait to get there now :)

Have a good trip.
