books and motel

Can anyone recommend any good books about migrating? We have had our pre-grant letter, so have started to plan already. However, we need to be there september 7th, and have no where to live yet, so thought a book would be useful. there are a couple of amazon, but thoughtI would canvas the masses to get some info first!

Also, we are only hoping to land in rented accomodation for 2-3 months max, as we want to buy our place. Would you recommend staying at a cheap motel, or are there furnished short term accomodation that we can find?

we are going to Sydney.

Congrats on your pre-grant There are lots of unfurnished lets in NSW area around $185-$240 per week they usually ask for 6 month lease but someone on the thread said you can negotiate for a 3 month one which may be extended. It is almost impossible to find a furnished let so we are going down the caravan site route of which there are quite a few - and some chalet sites. Try the site below for this
www.aami.com.au They also sell booklets giving a range of holiday lets etc. You may find that 6 months is required as you don't want to rush into buying NOT THE PERFECT place do you??
