we bought this one a while ago but to be honest, you get most of the info you need from this site... There is a lot of interesting and concise info but most of which can be found on the webif you dont mind spending the time searching

Also try the new 'Australia and New Zealand' magazine which is bi monthly. You can only buy it at WH Smith, but so far I have found it an excellent source of info on emigrating to Oz/NZ.

Hi Martin
We bought all of the above books. They contain mainly the same info. Personally i'm glad we had all of them, cos if one didn't answer your question then you can be certain that another one would. Some things that i read were things that i hadn't thought of previously, so its worth a read to make sure you've covered everything. I think the one i found most useful was the W C Hampton one as that was compact and to the point. We also used to subscribe to Australian Outlook, which is a monthly newspaper for migrants: www.consylpublishing.co.uk. This was always worth a read and obviously has up to date info each month, as things seem to change quite frequently with the migration process! :)
Hope this helps.
Jane

Re: Books

We bought various but none of them were much help. You will get more off here than any book.

If you want to buy something I would get a wall map of Greater Perth (to familiarise yourself with which burbs are where when you are thinking of rentals etc), a street map atlas (for getting more detail) and a Lonely Planet guide on the state you are heading to as both background and ideas for when you get here.
