Bet you're getting really excited We're all jealous that you're going but our time will come soon no doubt. The very best of luck to you!!! In terms of removals, I have had several quotes between £4742 and £5545 for a 40 foot container. However one company called AVM ( http://www.avm-storage-shipping.co.uk/ ) quoted £2700 for a 40 foot, but the chap didn't sound too clued up. If you are somewhere in between a 20 foot (1050 Cu ft) and a 40 foot (1552 Cu feet) you may consider a 20 foot and send the balance of items as groupage (ie a shared container). You could put the less urgent items in groupage as this takes a few extra weeks and save money that way.
