Default Boilermaker wages, would we survive?

Hi my OH is a Metal fabricator / Boilermaker and we are looking at moving to the Perth WA area later in the year, it seems to have lots of job opportunities.
Im just a bit worried about if we would be able to have a nice comfortable life in OZ, nothing over flash just a nice house etc or would we be finding it a struggle just living off my OH wage, we have 2 young children so i wouldnt work till they were older.
Ive had a look on the Job sites and the wages are anything from $30 - $45 hr, i had a look at a link someone posted to the salary guide on Hays and it said between 100 - 120k for my OH work, dont know where this figure came from though.

Thanks Roxanne
