Jane/jim i hope you don't mind but i've downloaded your photo to print out and show my mum.

i spent the best part of a day watching these guys and reading a book while sat in the sun in sydney when i was there back in 2001. It was my last day and i was just killing time and enjoying the moment before i had to go to the airport.

I wanted to take a photo of them for my mum as i knew she wouldn't believe me when i told her about them. But dopey here had left my camera in my suitcase back at the hostel so i never got the chance!

A great photo! cheers!

:D

No probs, if you want any other native wildlife photos, just ask, I've got loads, especially echidnas. I love those little guys!:D

We don't get so many cockys here in Brisbane :( , at least not in flocks. I've only see them in a group at Mt. Cootha. Lots of galahs and rainbow lories, though.

Jane :)
P.s. Laverda, I advertised Henry in our local free paper in the end, and I was able to vet people coming to see him. He went to a lovely family in Cornwall where he was going to get lots of attention.

Jane

If you want Cockys come to Melbourne. They live in big flocks around where I live. You can still hear them making tons of noise late into the night.

When I get up sometimes to go for a walk (about 6.30am) they are all just dozing in the trees, and if I walk past them, they all take off making tons of racket. Make lots of mess underneath the trees too!!

Regards

And of course, everyone has parrot pics.

This was taken up at O'Reillys, near the Gold Coast
