Big spending spree
 
We have splashed out and bought ........ FRUIT :D


Couldnt believe it bananas and grapes only $7.99 a kilo, and nectarines absolute bargain at $3.99 a kilo.

Monster celebrations tonight a banana each :D

I had a banana the other day, I couldn't stand it any longer, and I too went mad and splashed out. I bought two of them.

I might even buy some more one day.

we went to a friends a couple of weeks ago and my 4 year old was caught red handed eating one of their bananas in the bathroom as I haven't been able to bring myself to spend 12.99 a kilo on them. most kids nick other kids toys, mine steals fruit :D

I have just eaten one, god its been a long time since I had one of them :D

The farm shop between maroochydore and mudjimba if anyones up that way, dont buy the nectarines no wonder they were cheap, hard little buggers with no taste.

Was in NZ last month...you wont want to know that we were paying $2.40 a kilo for the yummiest, biggest, sweetest banana's that we had them every single day we were there.... :D

Had to laugh yesterday. I was finally unpacking another box (only been 18 months after all) and inside a bag was a receipt from tesco. Bananas £1.29 kilo. I wish, and granny smiths only £1.39 a kilo oh I dream. Has anyone noticed that the apples here are always battered and bruised. I glare at the lady on the checkout if she throws my apples about.

my kids are so excited as we are having a fruit platter tonight,seedless watermelon 49c kilo,pineapple$1.99 each,rockmelon $1 each,seedless grapes$6 a kilo.
Beat that for a bargain.

Eldest daughter doing the usual sex ed at school this term, came home on Monday to say they were putting condoms on fruit today, but the teacher told them they were not to use Bananas as they were too expensive - daughter looked confused when hubby and I fell about laughing :D

Check out chick in Woolies told us not to buy bananas there, apparently they're only (!!) $6 a kilo at caboolture markets at 6am. They're all gone by 6:30 though. Wonder ho wmany other peopel she told - and how long she'll keep her job
