Question Better Life For Girls?

WE HAVE JUST SUBMITTED OUR TRA AND STARTED THE 3 MONTH WAIT FOR A REPLY.
STARTED TO DO SOME SERIOUS RESEARCH ON PERTH, AS THAT IS WHERE WE HOPE TO MOVE TO.
HUBBY IS A CHEF, NO 3 ON THE "MOST WANTED LIST", HAS ANYONE ANY INFO ON BEING A CHEF IN OZ?
ALSO WE HAVE TWO CHILDREN 4 & 3 AND THEY ARE OUR MAIN REASON FOR MOVING, TO GIVE THEM A BETTER LIFE IN NICER SURROUNDINGS, (WE ARE FROM NORTHERN IRELAND), SO ANY ADVICE ANYONE HAS FOR TRAVELLING, RELOCATING, SCHOOLING CHILDREN, WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.

THANKS
KATE

Hi Kate

Welcome

There are loads of helpful people on here - I know some have gone as chefs - maybe search the members list for them.

Good luck to you & yours

ps A tip -- type in lower case or it seems like you might be related to Ian Paisley!!

We are on the same boat Kate,we have three kids, oldest boy 12,girls of six&three, goin to give them a better life than here has to offer? scary thought startin all over as we are leavin with just suit cases, kids will make do with wot we,ve got,we will make it work one way or another!
I know for sure the kids will love it no matter wot, they dont care! well loved & full bellys, sunshine, water & imagination!!
Kids adapt so much easier than us adults, they live day by day, dont you think?
We are at visa processin stage, but hopin to be in Oz(Brisbaine) for xmas?!!
Good luck,madsads missus! Donna x

Kate,
I don't think your tiger is as good as my lion. I am the mane man

Did you say you wanted info on Perth ?
Well that's a coincidence as I am not going there

.....but these links from Simone will keep you busy for a while

Thanks for the links Mane Man, all info much appreciated at this stage.
Like the tiger, I am patient, methodical graceful and dangerous, I thought male lions spent most of the time asleep, think I'll stick with the stripes!!

take care of that hair

It's nice to know that others have had same feeling and fears, but like yourself, if we get past the visa stage then it will have to work. I Know our girls will love it there, just up to us to make sure it happens. So am finding the help and support here a real boost.

Hope your move goes well for you and yours and you have a really great first Christmas in Brisbane.

Try these chef jobs or careerone , i'm a chef but going to Brisbane, we did look at Perth but thought the longterm prospects for the family working, including the kids when they grow up, were better in Brisbane, as well as how remote Perth is.
Best of luck with the TRA.

Thanks for the links, I will get Robert on to them ASAP, have heard that there are plenty of jobs out there for chefs, hope that is still true when (if) we get there.

Keeping our fingers crossd for the TRA, but best of luck to you and family in Brisbane.
