Default Best way to transfer about $20 to westpac account?

Hi everyone, I have opened a westpac account over the phone. They said to deposit something into it to cover the $5 per month fee it has. What is the cheapest way of doing this? I know HIFX etc are only for large amounts of money.

I think the banks charge about £15 no matter how much it is, so I am looking for the cheapest way of doing this to cover charges till we get there august/september,

thanks
Sharon

Hi,

We are planning on using these:

http://www.tranzfers.com/index.html

Found them recommended on another thread, can't remember which though. They charge £7 for a transfer, minimum amount is £50 though which may be more than you wanted to send.

Hope this helps

They are almost certainly the best way to transfer a small amount, but $20 is too small for even them. Can't you send a bit more, even make it up to $100?

Especially as $20 is less than a tenner!
