We have the usual padlocks with the flimsy keys but lately have been told that you are probably better to use the little plastic loops that you get on clothes security tags in the shops....

What is the best way to secure the zipper on your suitcase?

Our suitcases have locks on them but we've never used them. I think it just draws attention to the fact that there might be something of value in there. So they've never been used and we've never lost anything (yet!). Anything of real value goes in the carry on.
