Default Best time?

I'm wondering about where to go when. I will arrive in OZ in next September, to Sydney. I'm planning to travel along the cost from Sydney up to mabye Carins. I will be in OZ from September to Juli.

I'm seeking the warm climate so I am not intrested in 10 c and rain, more like 25 c and sun. I have also heard that it will be rain period, I plan to buy a car and travel along the cost.

So my question is will I start in Sydney in September or should I head for the north direct and then come back to Sydney in mars or something?

I am very gratefull for suggestions and answers!!!

Thanks in advance

Samuel, any time is a great time to visit!

If you are here from September to March it is our summer. Up north it is
quite humid and at some beaches you may not be able to get into the water
due to the jellyfish. Are you going to spend 9-10months just on the east
coast?

I'd head north direct to see northern Aust (or at least nth Qld coast) then
go from there. If you are interested in anything else just repost and we can
all give you some ideas. If you are a surf freak then anywhere is good.

Summer in Oz is December to March. This is also the tropical wet season.
Temperatures in Cairns and surrounding areas will be in the 30+ range with
plenty of rain = humid. Suggest you travel north of Sydney at the end of
your period here and concentrate of Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, etc., in
the hot months.

Samuel,
Cairns in September is delightful. It gets hot there from December on, and
wet as well from late December until March. My suggestion would be to plan
to be in the Cairns, Far North Queensland area either between September and
December, or between March and July. It can be cold south of Sydney from
July to early September.

There will be no rain, we are the middle of a severe drought and it doesn't
look like being broken any time soon. You will easily get 25 c too,
especially in QLD.
