Default Best Mobile Phone Network - Perth

Hi, moving over in a couple of weeks, have done a little bit of looking on expats regarding mobile phone contracts etc.

But although i obviously want a good deal i think its more important to have good coverage, no point in having a cheap tariff if you can never get a signal eh!

So any recommendations? If is makes a difference, will be looking to get another iphone.

Thanks in advance.

Best = Telstra
Second Best = Optus
Best Value for Money = iinet

Why? because iinet use Optus infrastructure which is pretty good but I pay only $10 a month for my mobo plan.

Vodafone only reliable in Cities still.

They are rolling out new infrastructure though.

I've got a Vodafone account and it's worked everywhere I've been thusfar.

I'm about 25k north of the city and with Red Bull 365 day plan so for $1 day get unlimited text and calls anywhere in OZ. Thats Vodaphone. Not much good indoors, just drops out randomly but ok outdoors. I have a telstra mobile as well so its a good way to get unlimited pretty cheap if you can work within the boundaries.

I'm on Virgin, which uses the Optus network, and about 50km south of the City. I always have a good signal.
