Anyone know if there's a comparison website to compare interest rates for savers please be it online ,term deposits or whatever !

Sorry to hijack but if your savings account is paying 7.5% (bankwest telenet) and you're living in oz how much tax is payable on the 7.5% (ie what is the 'net' figure)???

Interest is taxed according to your income level, so if your total annual income falls in the 30% bracket 30% and so on. Aussie tax rates will come up on this forum with a search. Dont forget if you dont submit a tax file number they deduct 50% tax. Also dont forget banks in oz submit your interest details to the tax dept and then centerlink.

Then your only income is interest and is taxed accordingly.
