Question Best Flights Please

Hi anyone and everyone, I am currently planning to visit OZ towards the end of Jan 2005 I need to book flights and want to know the best way of going about it. Can anyone tell me is it better to book internal flights within OZ from the UK or better to wait until you get there. Also can anyone reccomend a website or company to build my own trip as I wish to stopover for a couple of days on the way.

Have a look here:

www.airline-network.co.uk

They give online quotes.

There are several such sites around.

Some airlines will include internal flights as part of the package.

Good luck

Hi

We booked flights for March with the Flightcentre. Got quite a good deal. I know they're just about to put their prices up so if you were to use them, I'd get a move on!!

Good luck

Here's a tried and trusted consolidator:

http://www.leestravel.co.uk

(they specialise in flights with Asian airlines - Singapore, Cathay, Thai, Emirates, Malaysian, Emirates).

Don't forget that with Singapore Airlines you can almost always take advantage of the promotion with the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board for the free hotel stopover....they know that many passengers are in transit through Singapore on the way to/from other destinations. They want you to spend money there so you get the free hotel deal and discounts for the zoo etc. (You have the option to upgrade to better quality hotels at cheap rates too).

Don't forget to go directly to the airlines own websites to check for special offers! You can see about the STPB hotel offers on the SIA website:

http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/app/...currentSite=uk

Also for domestic flights in Oz check out the site for Virgin Blue.

Travelbag are great - only been to the States with them twice, but they have really good deals - sure they would for Aus too.

I'd book pretty soon if I were you, if you're planning to go in late January. All the cheapest deals will have gone unless you're very lucky, and if you have a specific itinerary you will have to book with special urgency to avoid lack of availability. Good luck!

If you want to book some separate internal flights, these are the main airlines;
www.jetstar.com.au
www.virginblue.com.au
www.qantas.com.au

For stop overs defintely recommend http://www.singaporeair.com - Singapore Airlies offers very cheap flights and offers stopovers at 5-star hotels for 50 pounds pp/pn.

If your departure dates are flexible visit http://www.urippa.co.uk which provides information on where the cheapest flights online are.
