Best Broadband supplier in Melbourne ?
Hiya
Moving to Melbourne area within the next two months, and will need to get connected to broadband asap for my work.
I would need something similar to BT broadband where there are no upload or download limits and you can have connection / operation 24 hours a day.
Is this possible, and how much does it cost???
Also need to know if there are areas within 50K of central that cannot get broadband. Need to rent for first year so I want to know where not to look.
Thank you all in advance.

Personally I am with Internode , and have found them to be absolutely outstanding: their customer service is next to none.
One thing to watch out for with the unlimited plans here is you may find your service being "shaped", i.e. hit a certain download limit and your connection speed will be throttled back. If a constant high speed connection is essential, go with a plan with a large download limit.

I have been looking at aanet as a potential one to change to myself, and they cover QLD & VIC.
512 kbps Down/128 kbps Up
$35.00pm for 1 gbyte then $4.00 per Gb
or
$45.00 pm for 8 gbytes then $4.00 per Gb
or
256 kbps Down/64 kbps Up
$35.00pm for 6 gbytes then $4.00 per Gb
i'm even tempted by their
1500 kbps Down/256 kbps Up plan for
$65.00pm for 4 gbytes then $4.00 per Gb

There was an announcement on the aaNet (and on the Whirlpool) forum that prices are due to go up in the next month or two. AFAIK the announcement said that any increase will not affect existing customers at the time of the change. Do check that though if you're thinking of changing.
