Default best area for gas fitters to get work

Hi all. I'm new to the site and have found it invaluable, so thanks to all. And pls forgive me if this has already been asked. myself and partner are hoping to move to queensland with our 2 young children. He is a corgi registered gas fitter, and as this is on the list of skills required we thought it would help us to get over there. After reading all the useful info on here i realise that he would benefit from having his plumbing qual. Does anyone know of the best area to work in queensland for gas only workers (I heard there is somewhere in or near Albany Creek, correct if wrong) Also does anyone have an idea of wages for this? I have read some threads on here and other websites to find the info conflicting.
Any help appreciated at this stage as feeling that our dream is going to be very difficult to reach.

Thanks in advance (sorry if i rambled)
