Best Airline to fly with back to the UK
 

We are going back to the UK for a month next year (we've been back a few times), we normally fly with Qantas (for the FF points), but they are way more expensive than everybody else and the price isn't worth the FF points. We are going to be flying into Manchester and if anybody can tell me what airline they flew with and if it was good (well as good as it can be for such a long flight)

Emirates

You can fly directly into Manchester, 30kg luggage, and they have the A380.

Catch them at the right time for the right price.

Unfortunately, the Airbus only goes to Heathrow, not Manchester and Singapore don't go direct to Manchester anymore, they go via Munich (I think or Frankfurt). Emirates have some good prices at the moment too.

we have just arrived back in Aus from UK and flew Singapore.
They were fab- A380 London to Sing, then something different for the second bit.
Even in economy they have USD, power points and extra legroom...definitely better than most economy options.

I'd second Emirates also. Tend to be cheaper than the others, for the one-stop Dubai option. Depending on the specific flight, usually get an A380 on at least one of the legs.

Emirates use the A380 dubai-Manchester on one of they daily flights, i fly business or first class but like the boeing 777 best as less people on it.

have to agree about Singapore Airlines they are no good now,

having to stop at Munich is big no-no.

Fly-be go to Manchester airport. I do not know the cost but I think it is about 200.00pounds each person.
